I was born in New Haven CT in 1964. I spent my elementary years in East Haven CT; attending Union School, Tuttle School, Gherris Avenue School and Overbrook School. As a seventh grader I moved to Cheshire CT where I have lived ever since and attended Dodd Junior High, Cheshire High School Class of 1982. I have been teaching in Horizons since the fall of 1992. Before that I was an investment advisor for five years with Waddell & Reed Financial services in Hamden, CT. I attended the University of CT where I earned my degree in Marketing and Finance in 1986. In 1991 I obtained my teaching certificate through the ARC summer program. I have since earned my Masters Degree from SCSU in 1996 in Instructional Technology and my Sixth Year Degree from SCSU in 1998 in Educational Foundations. I am the advisor to the BHS Student Council, an organization that strives to improve the learning environment at Branford High School for the students, teachers, administration, alumni and citizens of the town of Branford. We run the Homecoming activities, adopt a family at Christmas time, organize Veterans Appreciation Day, School Dances and Salapalooza. I became a "Master Hiker" of Sleeping Giant State Park in the summer of 2008 by hiking every inch of every trail in the month of July with fellow "Hebrian Society" members Richard Biondi, Brandon Lyons, Ramona Biondi and Alisha Lyons. I became 1 of 6 people to hike every inch of every trail during each of the 4 seasons in May 2009 with fellow "Hebrian Society" members Richard Biondi and Brandon Lyons. On June 4, 2009 I was named "Teacher Of The Year" for the Branford School District.
