Principal's Message

Assistant Principal James Wygonik has officially accepted the position of Principal at Lyme-Old Lyme High School.    It is a loss which brings sadness to the Branford High School learning community but also anticipation of the opportunities and possibilities that lie ahead for Jim.   We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and no doubt successes.

Over the last few weeks the administrative leadership team has discussed our criteria for an interim Assistant Principal position for the remainder of the 2009-10 school year.  That criteria stressed the importance of having a familiarity with our students, staff and culture,  minimizing the transitional period and eliminating disruption to the current functioning of any department. 

The leadership team feels we have found a person who meets all of these requirements, and therefore has been named Interim Assistant Principal for the remainder of the 2009-10 school year.  It give me great pleasure to introduce an “old” face into a new position;  Mr. Kevin McDonough.

Please join me in welcoming Mr. McDonough back to the Branford High School community.
